Sustainability Initiatives

Since our very first days as a DMC, responsible business has been at the heart of what we do. We are committed to make a real difference – by investing in local communities, wildlife conservation projects and the environment. We are all about operating in a responsible manner and incorporating the principles of sustainable tourism.

All our trip leaders, suppliers and team members are trained on the same principles and strongly standby them while delivering services. These values are more than just words; they are ingrained in the culture and daily operations of every trip. Which means when your guests take the road with us, they leave lighter footprints, and support local communities.

Our initiatives in making a positive impact through travel.

Eliminating single use plastics by offering our travellers a steel water bottle.

Our Jute tote bags are made locally, so as to reduce plastic consumption, and support local makers.

We introduced our e-documents programme, which gives our partners and guests the opportunity to receive their travel documents digitally, replacing the need for paper. When they choose e-docs, we plant a tree in their name

As a DMC partner, we conduct appropriate research to ensure we promote and provide our partners and guests education on ethical wildlife experiences.

We believe in supporting and giving back through NGO Partnerships. Distinct Destinations has developed a meaningful partnership with I Village, an organisation and project that care for women empowerment

We partner with properties who have the same ethos as us and work towards a common goal to practice highest standards of sustainability in each and every step they take.

For all the native and cultural experiences, we partner directly with the locals and organizations with the aim of benefitting the community directly.

Our vision is to minimize the harm and maximize the preservation of the environment along with the empowerment of the local communities

With the dream of eradicating the term ‘endangered’ from wildlife destinations across India, Nepal and Bhutan, TOFT, works with one thought at heart - travel, ensuring that others can travel too. They associate with companies that reciprocate the same and put perennial efforts to fabricate long-term solutions coupled with real economic benefits for the communities. It incorporates the austere PUG certification process to ensure a conservation prone travel all throughout

Moving ahead with the tagline of “Travel for Tomorrow”, Tourcert is putting its heart, mind, and soul towards responsible tourism by joining hands with travel companies that feel the same for mother nature and by promoting authentic experiences. Sustainable tourism stands at the very core of this organization, they develop a whole structure that positions on the idea of soft tourism.

Switching from ‘eco’ to ‘responsible’ tourism, the organization has highlighted its concern and efforts for not just the environment but for society. They aspire to redefine the structure of nature and community by utilizing the peculiarities of India and maintain the charm of a destination by ensuring least damage and by joining hands with travel companies that parent the alike notions.

As part of our commitment to responsible tourism our travel documents are made of sustainable materials and are handmade by I- village, an organisation that empowers women through education and employment.

Standing with their head held high and the noble deed of goodness in heart is the ‘One Tree Planted’ organization. Trying to keep hunger at bay by planting fruit trees in rural areas, contributing in farmers lands and safeguarding rural families, this organization is watering a better environment by joining hands with local partners who believe in doing the same.
